Shanghai Marine Auxiliary Electromechanical Equipment Performance and Environment Testing Center of China Shipbuilding Industry（The Marine Environment Engineering and Reliability Laboratory of No.704 Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation）founded in 1964, is a third-party testing laboratory specializing in the performance and environmental test and the prototype approval test of ship electro-mechanical products and lifeboat equipment. The laboratory is independent and fair in measurement and testing services.
The laboratory occupies more than 4000 square meters, and has more than 330 sets of instrument and equipment. Technical capabilities and equipment performances of the laboratory meet the requirements of more than 200 accredited standards and regulations, including IEC, IMO, ISO, ASTM, ANSI, ISTA, ETSI, GB and CB etc.
The laboratory has accumulated abundant experiences in reliability and environment testing, measuring, analyzing technologies. Especially, the laboratory is in a leading position in establishing correlative environment test standards.

2 Electromagnetic Compatibility Test: Radiation emission, radiation sensitivity, conduction and emission, conduction sensitivity, electrostatic discharge and field electromagnetic compatibility test etc.
3 On-spot Test: Noise test (sound intensity, sound pressure, sound insulation), structural vibration test, vibration intensity test, vibration isolation effect test, mechanical impedance, oil mist test, dust test, dew point test, test on the trail of ocean environmental condition.
4 Reliability Test Stress screening, reliability growth, reliability identification, reliability acceptance, accelerated life testing, reliability calculation, etc.
5 Environmental Simulation Analysis and Study: Product structure modal analysis and calculation, the shock response simulation of structure, the swing response simulation of structure.
6 Marine Software Evaluation The evaluation center is a professional third party organization in evaluation of ship electronic products and information system software. The center is equipped with a number of automated testing tools and software testing simulation platform. Also, the center is capability in evaluation of a number of embedded software testing items and non embedded software testing items.
